Man Who Threw Dog to its Death From 10th Floor, Gets Just Two Months in Prison

A 24 year old man from Southend-on-sea has been jailed for two months today for throwing his Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog out of his sitting room window on the tenth floor of a block of flats.

The incident happened at 0300 on January 18. James Bray of Pantile Avenue in Southend admitted killing the dog by throwing it out of the window because it had bared its teeth at him.

He claimed that Beano, a male brindle Staffy around two years old, had been ‘playing up’ by urinating on his carpet earlier in the day so he had tied him up in the bathroom for four hours.

When Beano was released Bray claimed the dog had been aggressive so he tossed him out of the window.

He then called the police to tell them he had done it and they found Beano’s body on the ground at the base of the flats – he had died on impact.

Bray had owned Beano for two months.

He was jailed for two months and sentenced to a further two months on community licence. He was fined £500 and given a life ban on keeping any animal.

RSPCA inspector Matt Gough said: “It is inexplicable that someone would do this, even if the dog had attacked him there is no excuse for throwing it out of the window.

“We are pleased that the magistrates have given him a lifetime ban on keeping animals.”

This is absolutely disgusting and he should have been sentenced to longer. Toucher penalties should be imposed for animal cruelty. This is unexceptable.

Sadly, the world IS full of sickos who will continue to mistreat animals and children. The worst thing of all, is that magistrates are powerless to give really severe fines and sentences so blame it on past, present and future governments who issue liberal edicts on any type of sentencing. We have become a lawless society so expect to read and hear more and more cases of unpunished crimes against animals. My wish is that this creature gets well and truly duffed up by an animal lover while he is in prison.

2 MONTHS?????????????? A dog is a living & extremely loving creature, what jail sentence would he get if he threw a 2 year old child out the window? The sentence should be exactly the same as if it were a human he killed, its still murder. What a lowlife scumbag. He should be facing the same fate poor Beano did! R.I.P Beano poor wee soul.
